It is full of mountains, valleys and lakes. If you are mountain person this location is made for you. It is the perfect place for skiing adventures and summer dips in the lakes after a hiking trip. Although this is a very rocky area it is also full of plains and therefore finding an easy terrain to build on shouldn’t be too complicated.

Portonovo — Le Marche

Just a few kilometers down from Ancona is the small town of Portonovo. This town is right on the Adriatic Sea and is full of undiscovered beaches. This seaside remote location is perfect to build your Italian house. It is also a family friendly location as the structure of the land is quite safe.

Udine — Friuli

Bordering Slovenia, the small unknow province of Udine has everything you need. Close to the sea and the mountains this province makes the best of both worlds! If you can’t decide between the two this is the perfect location for you. You can be close to the ski lift and the beaches! If you decide to locate more towards the mountains you should really pay close attention to the land you choose as the area can be quite rocky and therefore tricky for constructions!

Isole Eolie — Sicilia

I know what you all are thinking. This is not in Italy this is in the Caribbean. But believe me this is in Italy and they are truly paradisaic islands. These seven volcanic islands are located between south of Italy and Sicily. Although they have the most beautiful views, they remain are volcanic islands and are quite tricky to build on.

Parco dello Stelvio — Lombardia

In Italy this region is known for its historic spas and the most adventurous bike paths. It is also a region well known for its wine production and its charcuterie. I believe that it has something for everybody! The décor can vary a lot between small lakes, rivers, rocky mountains, vineyards, and small villages in the valleys. And if this is not enough for you, lake Como is just one to two hours away!

San Teodoro — Sardegna

If this isn’t paradise it sure looks like it! On the Mediterranean Sea, this small town is the perfect place to build your dream home. The white sand beaches and plains make this location easy to build on. I also believe it is the perfect location to raise your family. And it is only half an hour away from the city of Olbia.

Valdorcia — Tuscany

There are many reasons why Italy is the perfect place to build your dream home but the most important one is the food and the wine! Once you have been to Tuscany and experienced real Tuscan wine and Italian pasta you don’t want to leave Tuscany. Valdorcia is a part of the province of Siena and it’s a series of cultivated hills. The terrain is therefore easy to build on and will guarantee vast views!

Sacro Monte di Varese — Lombardia

Just one hour away from Milan is the beautiful province of Varese. Although this place seems quite ordinary it actually has a lot to offer and a lot of secret remote locations. Close to many different lakes, this location offers guaranteed views almost everywhere! My favorite place is on the Campo dei Fiori, on the Sacro Monte; I hope to one day build my dream home! With the mountains just there it is also a great location for hiking lovers. The challenge is the terrains are rough and hard to build on.

Parco dei Monti Sicani — Sicilia

In the province of Palermo, you can find a beautiful reserve that holds secret fauna and flora. Although you might not be allowed to build right on the reserve this place is surrounded by beautiful remote locations. With the sea only one hour away and the city of Palermo at two hours away, this is also a very family friendly location.

Alta Murgia — Puglia

With some similarities to the Grand Canyon, this natural park has many wonders. Its multiple hiking roots make it the perfect place for curious hikers. This might be a challenging location for construction, but I am sure the adventure is worth the challenge! And if you miss the city, Bari is just an hour away.
